Having grown up on an organic farm, Meg has an innate connection to the nature that surrounds us. She believes that in order for humans to find calmness, balance and healing, we must create the right space and appropriate environment for this to happen within a loving community.
Meg has had a passion for ancient medicines ever since she was a little; suffering from a chest infection for several weeks and antibiotics not helping, she had acupuncture for the first time and within a couple of hours the cough had shifted. Later in life, living in London and working as a PA, she had no sense of grounding and felt her health had depleted and reverted back to alternative therapies.
For Meg, Craniosacral Therapy is a grounding source amongst a fast paced world where we are often in a high sympathetic, fight/flight state. It is important to bring our parasympathetic nervous system back into a rest/digest state. CST is a complimentary therapy which works in harmony with other remedies.
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle and holistic hands-on therapy, providing space for the body’s nervous system to balance and restore through the inherent ability to heal oneself.
Throughout our life we encounter physical, mental and emotional stresses, which inadvertently can lead to impingements in the body and overtime to disease or other health problems. These stresses may be a result of genetics, birth tensions, physical injuries, mental disorders, immune system dysfunction and much more of what we experience throughout our lives on this planet.
CST focuses holistically on each individual being, incorporating the central nervous system at the core of each client, the organs, muscles, tissues and fascia. By listening to the specific needs of each individual body, CST releases unprocessed shock through the fascia by allowing space and attention to identify the particular fulcrums of tension, CST has the ability to create the potential for profound healing from babies to the elderly.
A complementary therapy, and therefore may not be appropriate for certain disorders such as brain or bleeding disorders.
